Verbalize Your Action, Issue #036 - Get Your Principles March 02, 2018 |
March 2nd 2018 #036You Already Have Principles - Just Activate Your PrinciplesDon't you just wonder why you find principles everywhere you go. Well, as soon as you start wondering you are on your self awareness development journey. For example, do this for your own experiment. Say to yourself that you would like to see principles in different places - choose areas you are interested in such as your profession, hobbies, likes, passions and so on. Then deliberately go ahead looking for a principle here and looking for a principle there. You will be pleasantly amazed at what you see. This is one way you can focus your self awareness development effort and actually see results immediately. You Will See Principles In Your HobbiesYou maybe a passionate pursuer of your hobby, interest to the point of making a living out of it or even achieving significant monetary earnings. That passion you have is sealed by your adherence to the principles of practicing that hobby you have consistently. For example, if you are sportsperson, what you put into your practice time of your sport will be what you get out of it. Put in 1 hour of practice you will get 1 hours equivalent of output or gain. Put in 9 hours of practice you will get 9 hours worth of gain or preparation. The principle is simple. The more effective time you put in the more potent you become and the more potent you are the more certain your ultimate victory at the highest level of competition you are aiming for. Now, visit any good sporting coach and speak to them. Before long you will discover that they did refer to some principles in their conversation with you. You Will See Principles in Your ProfessionThis one is very interesting. Just take a look at the textbooks you are studying right now or packed in your reading library. In each main textbook you come across, you will see this phrase: "Principles of ….". The awareness questions you need to ask is why, why, why. Why principles...? What are principles for? How does a principle affect me and my day to day life? In fact you will see that whether it's exact or non-exact sciences you find principles everywhere, in every profession including your profession. Catch the principles and how to explain and demonstrate them, you will successfully apply the principles to real life and actually have a very good understanding of the subject matter - whatever it is you are dealing with. Verbalize Get-Your-PrinciplesYou Can Call Principles in Your Hobbies and InterestsWhen you become aware of, engaged with, based in, oriented by or to and driven by and on the principles in your hobbies and your interests, profession or expertise you begin to flow inside your hobbies, interests, profession, and passions. Principles become your natural environment, much like fish in the water, or birds in the air. See yourself inside your principle. Most importantly, when principles cease to just be principles but forces that own you, the likelihood that you will be intercepted by distractions at the height of your persuasions of your hobbies, interests, professions and passions begins to strive towards zero. Here is a verbalization you may use to insert yourself into your principles. Again, this is a type of self-programming for enhancing your own personal performance. If you program yourself then you will have superiority over yourself (a type of self-control), rather than somebody else over you. Self Awareness DevelopmentUse the AEBOD to Build This Principle Into YouEnhance your journey by using the key - AEBOD (Aware, Engaged, Based, Oriented and Driven) to cement this verbalization in your soul. Why don't I develop my own products? I guess that was the best thing I learnt from my MBA studies. Of course the MBA instigated this behaviour in me. My MBA thesis supplied the business concept and material. Now I needed to get down to productivity. After a long research for the best in class tools for personal application, I found SBI. Initially I was sceptical, but as I explored the SBI process, the tools and the core SBI support team including the more than 380 business sites that are running on top of SBI, I realised I was home and dry. I hope you can enjoy as i am doing, slowly, step by step, just like the tortoise! Its a copycat cyclical game. You read, you check out some examples, you experiment on your own site and your release that part of your product and monitor it's performance.
